How to grow millet star succulents to make them grow more millet star cultivation method

There are many types of succulents, and they are very easy to maintain. As a lazy potted plant that is always available in the home, many friends like to grow a pot of succulents at home. Among them, the millet star succulent is more ornamental, with small and plump leaves, and is very easy to cultivate.

Millet star succulent cultivation

1. Lighting

Light is crucial for the growth of millet star. If you want millet star to grow normally, you need to give it sufficient light. Providing bright scattered light is best. If there is insufficient light, the millet star will grow too tall.

2. Soil

In order to grow millet plant in good condition, you need to provide a suitable soil environment. It is best to choose loose, fertile, humus-rich soil for planting. If the soil lacks nutrients, the millet plant will grow slowly, and the stems and leaves will become thin and look listless.

3. Watering

Millet star likes a humid growing environment, but the soil should not be too moist, because millet star cannot tolerate waterlogging. If the soil environment is too humid, it will cause the roots and rhizomes of millet star to rot. When watering, pay attention to the principle of watering when the soil is dry and wet.

4. Temperature

Millet star is relatively cold-resistant, but the temperature in winter should not be lower than 0 degrees to avoid frostbite. If the temperature is lower than minus 2 degrees, the tender buds at the top of the millet star's leaves may be frozen.

5. Fertilization

In order to grow millet plant in good condition, it is necessary to supplement it with sufficient fertilizer. Its growing season is from September to around June of the following year. We can apply some fertilizer to millet plant during this period, and pay attention to applying thin fertilizers frequently.

Xiaomi Star Maintenance Precautions

1. Millet star likes an environment with plenty of sunlight, but it needs proper shade when the light is too strong and the temperature is high. Its leaves and stems are relatively small and have no frost protection, so it is relatively not very sun-resistant. If it is not shaded in time when the ultraviolet rays are too strong and the weather is hot, its leaves will be sunburned.

2. During the maintenance of Millet Star, you must control the water content and do not over-water. Also, because the leaves and stems are relatively small, the drought resistance of Millet Star is not as good as other rosette-type succulents. During normal maintenance, it is best to water it in time every time the bottom leaves become soft.
