How to grow and maintain Cixi succulent plants and what to pay attention to

Cixi succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, and is also a small succulent. Its leaves are arranged in a rosette shape, and the leaves are slender with darker edges. There is a mark in the middle of each leaf that divides it evenly into two halves, which is very obvious. It is often used as other varieties. In autumn and winter, the reddish edge of the leaves looks like a beauty wearing a cheongsam, which is particularly attractive.

Cixi succulent cultivation

1. Moisture

Cixi succulent does not need a lot of water. Just water it thoroughly when the soil is dry. Because it is very drought-resistant, try to water it as little as possible. Water it once or twice a month, otherwise the roots will rot.

2. Soil

It is best to use special soil for growing Cixi succulents, such as peat or peat, gravel, and perlite.

3. Fertilization

Cixi succulents do not have high requirements for nutrients. Generally, they are fertilized once a month during the growing season. Apply thin fertilizers frequently and can be applied when watering.

Cixi Maintenance Precautions

Cixi likes light and can tolerate full sunlight. It usually needs to be shaded in summer. Its dormancy period is not obvious. Its growth mainly depends on the temperature difference between day and night, and it is easy to grow when ultraviolet rays are strong.

Generally, Cixi recommends open-air cultivation. The temperature difference between day and night is mainly in spring and autumn, which is helpful for the growth of the plant. Attention should be paid to water control during the growth period. Too much water will cause the plant to grow too tall and unable to maintain a good shape. Maintenance is very simple, just pay attention to light and water.
