How to prune the euphorbia pulcherrima and the method and time of pruning

Pruning time of cycad

The Chinese lucky tree needs to be pruned 2-3 times a year. The upper end should be properly pruned during the seedling stage to prevent the seedling from growing too tall. The overgrown branches should be pruned in summer. Plastic pruning can also be performed after each pruning, which is beneficial to the growth of the Chinese lucky tree and can also enhance the overall ornamental value.

Methods of pruning the sedge

1. Pruning seedlings

When the plant is in its seedling stage, you can cut off the overly long side branches of the plant, and shorten the upper part of the plant appropriately. This can prevent the plant from growing too tall, reduce nutrient consumption, and make it grow more luxuriantly.

2. Summer thinning

The growth of the Chinese rich tree is good. If the pruning work is not done well, the leaves will easily lose color. At this time, the dense parts can be thinned out. This can greatly reduce the plant's consumption of soil nutrients and enable it to grow better.

3. Shaping and pruning

During the growth period of the lucky tree, weak branches should be pruned in time. If yellowed or diseased branches are found, they also need to be pruned, and appropriate shaping and pruning should be carried out. One-third of the unpruned branches should be cut off. This will allow the lucky tree to sprout more branches and leaves.

4. Notes

When pruning the Chinese phoenix tree, choose the right time and avoid rainy days, otherwise the wounds will easily rot. Be careful not to prune too heavily, otherwise it will affect the normal growth of the plant. Just prune it appropriately each time, and do not sprinkle water or fertilizer on the plant when watering.
