How to reproduce carrots

Carrots are generally propagated by sowing, usually in spring and autumn. The seeds need to be processed before sowing, and suitable soil must be selected so that they will grow well after sowing. During the seedling stage, maintenance and management must also be done.

Carrot planting method

1. When sowing carrots, the main seasons are spring and autumn. In spring, they are usually sown in February and can be harvested in May-July. In autumn, they are sown in July and harvested in November-December. In places with relatively high temperatures, they can be sown at any time.

2. When sowing carrots, you need to use high-quality seeds. Choosing appropriate seeds can increase the germination rate. The seeds need to be processed in advance. They need to be blanched in warm water at 30-40 degrees. After the water temperature drops, they need to be soaked for 4-6 hours.

3. After processing the seeds, you can start sowing. After the carrot seedlings emerge from the soil, you need to do a good job of seedling management and thin out the seedlings in time. A total of three thinnings are required. The weeds are relatively tenacious, so they must be removed in time.

4. After the carrot seedlings have grown for a period of time, they need to be transplanted. Choose soil that is deep, fertile, rich in humus, and well-drained, and apply enough base fertilizer so that the seedlings can be transplanted in the soil.
