Is growing tobacco profitable?

Tobacco cultivation is generally under the strict control of the state and must meet the requirements before it can be planted. Moreover, if you are not a professional grower and do not have professional skills, you will not be able to make much profit from tobacco cultivation. It is not a particularly profitable industry.

Profits and Benefits of Tobacco Planting

Each acre of tobacco can produce more than 300 kilograms of tobacco leaves. Most of these plants need to be processed before they can be sold. Generally, after deducting the costs, the profit per acre can reach about 1,000-3,000 yuan, and the income is not particularly high.

High-yield cultivation techniques for tobacco leaves

1. Choose the land

Tobacco has very high requirements for land. It is best to plant it on red loess or sandy soil. The most suitable growth temperature is 25-35℃. Sufficient water must be ensured during maintenance, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow.

2. Temperature requirements

Tobacco is a thermophilic crop with a suitable growth temperature of 25-28℃. The transplanting period can be chosen after the late frost, and the leaf maturity period should be controlled at around 24℃, which is conducive to its better growth.

3. Sunlight requirements

Tobacco needs sufficient light to grow. The daily light time should be no less than 8-10 hours. Especially during the leaf maturity period, sufficient light is very necessary.
