Growth habits of Sterculia lychnophora

Sterculia lychnophora is a deciduous tree plant that requires a lot of sunlight. Its leaves will appear broad and dark green under the sunlight. It is heat-resistant but not cold-resistant, and you need to pay attention to temperature changes at any time. It is not strict about soil requirements, and it can grow well in fertile and moist soil.

Where does Pangdahai grow?

The origin of Sterculia lychnophora is in Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries. It is also distributed in small quantities in my country, most of which are grown in tropical areas such as Zhanjiang, Hainan, Dongxing, Guangdong, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, etc.

The growth environment and conditions of Sterculia lychnophora

1. Temperature: Since Sterculia lychnophora is native to tropical regions, the annual average temperature needs to reach about 21-25°C during its growth period. When planted in Hainan, China, the suitable average temperature is generally around 24-28°C. When its monthly average temperature drops below 20.0°C, it will affect its growth.

2. Humidity: After the Sterculia lychnophora grows up, it is relatively drought-resistant. A monthly rainfall of 100-300 mm can meet its growth needs and there is no need for additional frequent watering.

3. Location: Since the root system of Plantain Lily is not well developed, its wind resistance is poor. When planted in coastal areas, it is easy to cause dryness. It is recommended to choose a well-drained and sheltered location for planting.
