Growth habits of Tianshan Snow Lotus

The Tianshan Snow Lotus grows in the severe cold conditions of high mountains and grows extremely slowly. It takes about 4-5 years to bloom and bear fruit. Due to its short growth time, the flowering and fruiting periods combined do not exceed two months. It will quickly germinate, grow, bloom and bear fruit in the shortest time.

Individuals of snow lotus are not tall, and they grow leaves on the ground that are wind-resistant, moisturizing and cold-proof. The Tianshan snow lotus has a flexible, thick and well-developed root system that can penetrate deeply into gravel and coarse soil, allowing it to grow in harsh environments.

Where does Tianshan Snow Lotus like to grow?

Tianshan Snow Lotus is produced in Xinjiang and Tibet regions of my country, as well as Russia, Kazakhstan and other places. Most of the snow lotus in my country is mainly distributed in Tianshan Mountains, Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, and there is also a small amount distributed in Sichuan and Yunnan.

Generally, Tianshan Snow Lotus likes to grow below the snow line in high-altitude areas, on cliffs at an altitude of about 3000-4000m.

The growing environment and conditions of Tianshan Snow Lotus

1. Temperature

Tianshan Snow Lotus is suitable for growing in various complex climatic environments, but it grows best when the temperature is kept at around 15-25℃. When the environment is too hot or too cold, it will affect its growth and development.

2. Moisture

Adequate water is essential for the growth of Tianshan Snow Lotus. The soil needs to be kept moist. It needs to be watered many times during its seedling stage, but it should not be watered too much to allow water to accumulate in the soil.
