How to increase oxygen for hydroponic plants

Causes of increased oxygen

Oxygen is necessary for plant growth. When growing plants, if there is a lack of oxygen, the plants will grow poorly.

In addition, because the water in hydroponic plants is in a static state, there is relatively little dissolved oxygen, which is not conducive to the growth of plants, so oxygen needs to be added.

How to increase oxygen

Vibration oxygenation

Pick up the hydroponic container with your hand, fix the plant, and then shake the container gently, usually more than 10 times. This can increase the oxygen content in the nutrient solution by about 30%.

Change water frequently

Secondly, you need to increase the frequency of water changes so that you can increase the oxygen in the water. Generally speaking, the water for hydroponic plants should be changed every 5-10 days in spring and autumn, every 5 days in summer, and the intervals should be longer in winter, with the water changed every 10-15 days.

Oxygen pump oxygenation

When growing flowers, you can actually use a submersible pump or an oxygen pump to increase the oxygen of hydroponic plants. In this way, the plants can get oxygen and grow better.

Hydrogen Peroxide Oxygenation

Hydrogen peroxide can also be used to oxygenate flowers. Adding 1% hydrogen peroxide or 3% hydrogen peroxide to the nutrient solution can increase the oxygen.
