What should I do if Xiuyan grows too tall?

What does Soo-yeon look like?

It is a common phenomenon for Xiu Yan to grow too tall. Its stems and leaves stretch wildly, the leaves droop, the branches and leaves become very thin and long, and the whole plant looks very weak. This phenomenon will reduce the ornamental value of the plant and is the last thing breeders want to see.

Reasons for Soo-yeon's elongated appearance

1. The first possible reason for Xiu Yan's excessive growth is that there is too much nitrogen fertilizer in the soil. Nitrogen can accelerate the cell division rate of the plant, so the plant will grow excessively and even easily fall over.

2. The second reason may be excessive watering. If too much water is absorbed by the plant and there is not enough light at this time, then the water will not be consumed by the plant. It will accumulate in the stem and cause excessive growth.

3. The last reason is insufficient light. Xiuyan likes an environment with plenty of sunlight. If they are placed in a dark environment for a long time, they will rush upwards to find sunlight, and thus they will grow too tall.

How to deal with the growth of Xiuyan

When fertilizing Xiu Yan, you need to adjust the number of times the fertilizer is used and its type, appropriately reduce the frequency of topdressing, or change the type. Remember not to apply nitrogen fertilizer exclusively. In addition, watering should be appropriate, and water should not accumulate. Keep the soil in a semi-dry and semi-wet state. Also, place it on the balcony where it can receive direct sunlight, not in the shade.
