Preparation method of rose soil

Rose soil requirements

The soil for roses must be well-drained, slightly acidic, loose and fertile. Alkaline soil or clay soil cannot be used, otherwise it will affect the growth. During the cultivation period, five parts of garden soil, three parts of leaf mold and two parts of rice bran ash can be used. This way the soil can basically meet the growth needs.

Preparation method of rose soil

1. Soil: First prepare some soil and crush the large particles at a ratio of 30%.

2. Leaf soil: Then prepare some bamboo leaf soil, 30% is appropriate.

3. Nutrient soil : Prepare some nutrient soil. If you don’t have it, prepare some fermented chicken manure soil or pig manure soil. Make sure the soil is nutritious so that the rose can grow into a big plant. The ratio is 20%.

4. Peat: Find a small piece of peat and mix it at a ratio of 10 percent.

5. Sawdust: Find some fermented sawdust and mix it at a ratio of 10%.

6. Ingredients: Finally, mix the above soil materials and stir them evenly with a shovel. The rose soil is ready.

Rose soil maintenance

There are insects in the soil: scale insects: mainly Japanese wax scale, red wax scale, etc., which can be sprayed with cypermethrin; aphids: mainly rose aphid, peach aphid, etc., spray 2000 times diluted 10% imidacloprid wettable powder in time.

How often should the soil be changed: The soil of roses should be changed every spring. Changing the soil is more conducive to the flowering and fruiting of roses.

Is it okay to put wood ash in the soil: Wood ash can be applied to rose potted plants as fertilizer, which can promote the growth of tall and strong branches, but the amount should not be too much, otherwise it will easily cause fertilizer damage.

Can eggshells be added to the soil: Eggshells contain trace elements of phosphorus, and only some simple processing is required to fertilize the roses.
