Does cabbage need to be watered every day?

Do you water the cabbage every day?

It is not necessary to water Chinese cabbage every day. Generally, it only needs to be watered once every 3-5 days after the seedlings emerge. The specific watering time needs to be determined according to the season. In spring and summer, it is mostly hot and rainy seasons. Pay attention to drainage in the rainy season. In dry weather, water it once every 3 days or so. In autumn and winter, the weather gradually turns cooler, so the number of watering should be gradually reduced.

If the weather is good and the climate is dry, try to shorten the watering interval. If it is rainy, there is no need to water for a short period of time. Just wait until the soil is dry before watering. The water source can be mainly well water, river or lake water.

The correct way to water cabbage

1. Planting season

Chinese cabbage is generally planted in spring and the season before autumn. Cabbage in spring is called early cabbage, and cabbage in autumn can be eaten after winter.

2. Watering after planting

Usually, when repotting or newly planting Chinese cabbage, you only need to water it with a small amount of water, and then wait for the soil to slowly dry out. After it dries up, water it again. Don't water too much and just wait for the Chinese cabbage to grow.

3. Water when it grows bigger

When the Chinese cabbage grows out, water it appropriately. Remember not to water it too much, otherwise the roots of the cabbage will loosen and the cabbage will easily fall over in the wind.

4. Water control

When the cabbages grow bigger, you should let them dry out for a while so that the roots can grow deeper. You can also irrigate them, and then wait until the cabbages grow bigger and use soil to protect the surrounding areas.

How to deal with excessive watering of cabbage

If Chinese cabbage is watered too much, it will fall over. At this time, you need to loosen the soil and drain excess water from the soil. You can also place the Chinese cabbage in a well-ventilated environment and use wind to evaporate the water. In the later maintenance, you can water the Chinese cabbage after the soil is dry, and temporarily stop supplying water when the soil is moist.
