How to germinate and plant okra seeds

Generally, if okra seeds are well cared for, they can germinate in a week. If the seeds have gone through a dormant period, they can germinate faster.

Method : Select fresh, mature and plump okra seeds for germination, soak them, and control the temperature at around 25-28℃. Wait until the seeds sprout, then they can be sown in the soil for maintenance.

1. Processing seeds

Before planting, okra seeds need to be soaked in 25-30℃ water for about 12 hours. This can soften its seed coat, reduce the difficulty of germination, and increase the germination rate.

2. Prepare the soil

Okra prefers soft and thick flower soil, so you can mix garden soil, base fertilizer and fine sand in a ratio of 6:3:1 and use it as its flower soil.
3. Sowing method

Place the processed okra seeds on the surface of the flower soil, cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, and wet the flower soil. Finally, place it in a semi-shaded environment at about 25°C and wait for it to germinate.
