Grapefruit Planting Conditions

Pomelo has a strong adaptability to temperature. When it grows, the annual average temperature needs to be maintained between 16-21 degrees, and the minimum temperature cannot be lower than minus 11 degrees. When it grows, loose, fertile and relatively breathable soil needs to be used, which is more conducive to growth and development.

Climate and temperature for pomelo cultivation

Pomelo prefers a warm growing environment. When the soil temperature reaches 12 degrees, its roots will grow, and when it is 23-30 degrees, it will grow and develop and absorb nutrients.

Grapefruit planting area

Pomelo is usually grown in relatively warm environments. It is relatively common in areas south of the Yangtze River in my country, and is also grown in large quantities in Southeast Asian countries.

Grapefruit planting time

Pomelo is generally planted from February to May and from September to October each year. During this period, its germination rate is relatively high and the growth is also relatively good. When planting, it is necessary to use seeds with fuller grains and there should be sufficient light at normal times.

Benefits of grapefruit cultivation

After planting, the yield of grapefruit is relatively large. Usually one acre can produce 6,000 to 8,000 kilograms, and its wholesale price is about 2 yuan per kilogram. If one acre is planted, its output value is about 12,000 to 16,000 yuan. After deducting the cost, the profit can be 7,500 to 11,500 yuan.

Key points for growing grapefruit

When planting grapefruit, you need to use loose, fertile soil containing organic matter. You need to apply enough base fertilizer during planting to allow it to have sufficient nutrients for growth. When growing, it needs timely watering and topdressing, and sufficient sunlight.
