How to plant Fritillaria

1. Environmental requirements

Fritillaria cannot be exposed to strong sunlight. During the planting process, you must pay attention to shading, especially if some people like to plant it on the balcony or roof. This must be done well. When raising seedlings, a basin of clean water is usually placed under the flowerpot. The purpose of shading is to keep the air around the Fritillaria moist. In addition, the area around the Fritillaria orchid must be kept clean to prevent the occurrence of diseases.

2. Planting seedlings

The time for potting can be chosen in spring or autumn. It is best to choose a flowerpot with a small mouth, a certain depth and large holes in the bottom for good drainage. First, lay a layer of coarse-grained stones at the bottom of the flowerpot, then add culture soil, and place the seedling in the center of the flowerpot. Be careful not to curl the roots. After filling the soil, lift it up to allow the Fritillaria plant to grow naturally. Finally, add a layer of clean fine gravel, then water it and place it in a cool place for cultivation. Do not allow it to be exposed to direct sunlight within a month, and control watering to prevent water accumulation. Later on, you can slowly place it in a semi-shaded and semi-sunny place with good ventilation and air permeability. It can be exposed to the sun in the morning.

3. Watering

When watering Fritillaria, be careful not to water it if it is not dry. When watering, just make sure the soil is moist. Normally, the soil should be on the dry side. You can choose to water in the morning or evening, but never water in the hot sun at noon. Watering can be done by spraying, which can not only increase the humidity of the air but also clean the dust on the surface of the leaves of Fritillaria. The water temperature must also be controlled well and should not differ too much from the room temperature.

4. Fertilization

When applying fertilizer, you can follow the principle of frequent and thin fertilizer application, and pay attention to the balance of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The concentration must not be too high. You can also use aloe vera liquid to spray fertilizer, because aloe vera contains a lot of polysaccharides and amino acids, which has a good bactericidal effect. After using aloe vera liquid, you don’t need to use drugs to prevent and control diseases and pests.
