Celery growth cycle

The growing period of celery is four months. It takes 10-15 days from seed germination to the appearance of the first true leaf, and 40-50 days from the appearance of the first true leaf to the unfolding of 4-5 true leaves, which is the right time for planting. It takes 30-60 days from the unfolding of the heart leaves to the harvest, which is the right time for harvesting.

Celery is usually grown in a greenhouse in spring from January to February, transplanted from late March to mid-April, harvested from late May to July, cultivated in autumn, sown and seedled from mid-June to early July, transplanted in spring from early to mid-August to mid-September, and harvested from October to December.

Celery growth cycle management

Temperature management : Celery should be kept at 15-20 degrees during the germination period, and it will germinate in 7 to 10 days. The seedling stage should be kept at 15-23 degrees.

Fertilization management : Celery fertilizer is mainly basal fertilizer, and decomposed organic fertilizer and compound fertilizer are applied. Spray gibberellin on the leaves once a month before harvesting.
