How to grow passion fruit trees in pots

1. Soil

Passion fruit trees do not have high requirements for soil and prefer soil with strong air permeability. You can add an appropriate amount of coarse vermiculite and coconut bricks to ordinary garden soil to increase the air permeability of the soil.

2. Watering

Passion fruit trees like a humid growing environment. You can water them according to the dryness and wetness of the soil. Be careful not to let water accumulate in the soil, otherwise it will easily cause root rot.

3. Lighting

Passion fruit tree is a light-loving plant with high requirements for light. When caring for it in potted plants, the plant needs to be exposed to more sunlight. The more sufficient the light, the more beneficial it is for the growth of the plant. On the contrary, insufficient light will lead to reduced flowering.

4. Fertilization

Passion fruit trees also have certain requirements for fertilizer and nutrients. Before planting, an appropriate amount of base fertilizer needs to be added to the soil, and during the maintenance period, balanced fertilizer and water should be applied once every half a month.

5. Pruning

After the passion fruit tree is planted, it needs to be cultivated. Support pillars should be planted during the seedling stage. In the later stage, only 1-2 main vines should be left on the shelf, and all excess side branches should be cut off.
