Catnip cultivation methods and precautions

Catnip cultivation methods and precautions

1. Choose potting soil

Catnip has a good growth ability and adapts quickly, so it is easy to choose the soil. However, it is best to choose deep soil for cultivation, and it should also have a certain water permeability to allow it to grow more vigorously.

2. Lighting time

Relatively speaking, it grows better under sufficient light, so it is necessary to ensure that the breeding environment is sufficiently sunny, and it is best to have sunlight for about 6 hours a day. The sunlight is strong in midsummer, so you must pay attention to blocking it. Too much light intensity is not good for plant growth.

3. Watering method

It grows better in an environment with a certain humidity and needs to be watered in time. You don't need to water it when it rains. If the weather is good, you can give water every day. When the breeding temperature drops, you need to control the water appropriately. Try not to have a fixed frequency for watering. It is best to water appropriately according to the breeding climate and plant growth conditions.

IV. Precautions

1. When catnip grows faster, be sure to cut off the overgrown branches and leaves. This will not only reduce fertilizer loss to a certain extent, but also help it bloom better.

2. It is rarely attacked by diseases and insects, but certain preventive measures must be taken. After transplanting, the plants should be watered with fungicides to reduce the attack rate of diseases and insects.
