Temperature requirements

If cultivated in the open field in a flower bed, the temperature must be kept above -5℃; if the temperature is below -5℃ for a long time, the leaves of the chrysanthemum will dry up and turn yellow due to freezing, but once the temperature rises, it will still be able to sprout leaves and bloom flowers.

Water requirements

Chrysanthemum likes a humid environment, but it cannot be too humid for a long time, otherwise it will cause root rot and affect its healthy growth.

Soil requirements

Chrysanthemum has low requirements for soil and is not picky about soil, but it is best planted in fertile, loose, moist loam or sandy soil.

Fertilization requirements

During the growth period of chrysanthemum, it is generally necessary to apply fertilizer every half a month, using nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, with a fertilizer ratio of 2:1:2.

We can use 50 times of 50% carbendazim or 800 times of 70% thiophanate-methyl or 100 times of 5% oxadiazine for prevention and control.

Pest Control

The main pests of chrysanthemum are aphids, noctuids and locusts. The prevention and control method is to spray high-efficiency and low-toxic pesticides, and stop spraying pesticides fifteen days before harvest.
