Smooth sailing breeding method

All the best plants like a hot and humid semi-shady environment. The suitable growth temperature is between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. The best temperature from March to September is 24 to 30 degrees Celsius, and from September to March of the following year it is 18 to 21 degrees Celsius. The winter temperature needs to be above 14 degrees. If the temperature is below 10 degrees, the leaves are easily damaged by frost.

The lucky charm plant is sensitive to humidity. When it is hot in summer or dry in autumn, it needs to be sprayed with water around the plant. It cannot tolerate strong sunlight and needs 60-70% shade in summer. However, if the maintenance environment does not have enough light, it will be difficult to bloom. The best soil is fertile loam rich in humus.

Watering method

During the growth period of the Smooth Sailing Plant, the soil in the pot should be kept moist, but do not over-water, especially do not allow water to accumulate. If the air is dry in summer, spray water frequently to keep it moist, and sprinkle water on the ground. Control watering during the low temperatures in winter, and keep the soil in the pot slightly moist.

Fertilization method

Good Samaritan is suitable for planting in fertile soil. Add a small amount of organic fertilizer as base fertilizer during planting. Due to its fast growth rate and large fertilizer requirement, a thin liquid fertilizer can be applied every 7-15 days during the growth period.

Pruning methods

The smooth sailing plant does not require excessive pruning. When the white flowers turn green and then black or the tips of the flowers dry up, you can trim the remaining flowers in time without affecting normal growth and the next flowering. During the growth period, mainly remove the yellow and dead leaves to reduce the loss of nutrients.

Things to note when breeding

The potting soil for the smooth sailing plant can be mixed with leaf mold, peat soil and coarse sand, and a small amount of superphosphate can be added. Keep the soil moist during the growing period, fertilize once every 15 days or use "Huiyou" 20-20-20 general fertilizer. When repotting in spring every year, you can trim off the rotten roots.
