What kind of fertilizer is good for spinach base fertilizer (base fertilizer application method)

What kind of fertilizer is good for spinach base fertilizer (base fertilizer application method)

The role of spinach fertilizer

Spinach has a long growth cycle and a greater demand for nutrients, so when planting winter spinach, you must apply enough base fertilizer to improve the plant's cold resistance. The base fertilizer must be sufficient but not excessive, otherwise it will easily grow excessively.

Spinach base fertilizer can be decomposed farmyard manure, and a small amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be added. The fertilizer needs to be fully decomposed and raw fertilizer cannot be used directly.

How to apply base fertilizer for spinach

Spinach base fertilizer can be applied when renovating the soil and mixed evenly with the soil. This will not only allow the soil to fully absorb the fertilizer, but also provide sufficient nutrients for spinach.

Before applying base fertilizer for spinach, the land should be prepared in advance, then decomposed organic fertilizer should be applied, and deep plowing should be 20-25 cm. When the soil thaws to a depth of 8 cm in spring, it can be sown, covered with a layer of soil, and watered once.

How much base fertilizer should be added to spinach

For spinach, 4000 kg of fully decomposed organic fertilizer can be applied, and then 30 kg of peracid phosphate calcium can be added. Be sure to deep plow and mix it fully with the soil, which is conducive to the growth of spinach. For overwintering spinach, 5000 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer can be used as body fertilizer, and then potassium sulfate can be added in an appropriate amount.

How to apply fertilizer to spinach

The best time to apply top dressing is before flowering. At this time, the flowering period of spinach can be appropriately delayed so that it can be better pollinated and fertilized, and the quality of the flowers produced will be higher. It should be noted that the amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be reduced during top dressing, or even ammonium nitrogen should be stopped. The effect of using nitrate nitrogen will be better.

This is mainly because spinach is very sensitive to nitrogen fertilizer. If the temperature is not reached, the effect of using ammonium nitrogen will not be very obvious, and it will not be conducive to spinach absorption, which will affect its growth.
