Aloe vera growth environment conditions and requirements

Aloe vera is native to the tropics. The plant is afraid of cold and grows mostly in warm and well-lit environments. It is now almost everywhere in the world. When caring for it at home, it should be placed in a location with sufficient light and the soil should also have good drainage capabilities.

Aloe vera growth temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for aloe vera is 20-30℃, and the night temperature should be between 14-17℃. The plant has poor cold resistance and will stop growing when the temperature drops below 10℃. Aloe vera will be frozen to death when the temperature drops below 0℃.

Aloe vera growth humidity

Aloe vera requires the air humidity to be between 45-85%. The plant likes water but is also afraid of waterlogging. Watering should be based on the principle of watering when the soil is dry and wetting when the soil is wet. In rainy and humid seasons, the plant must be drained to prevent water from accumulating in the potting soil.

Aloe vera growing soil

Aloe vera likes loose, breathable, humus-rich soil. The soil pH value should be between 6.5 and 7.2. It can be prepared with leaf mold, perlite, sand, rubble, etc. In addition, some base fertilizer should be added.

Aloe vera growth cycle and process

Spring and autumn are the peak growth seasons for aloe vera. It takes about a month from sowing to germination. The seeds will absorb moisture and nutrients from the soil and continue to grow. After the plants grow up, they can be divided and cultivated, and they will become beautiful bonsai.
