Aloe Vera Flower Growth Conditions

Aloe vera flowers are suitable for growing in sandy soil rich in organic matter and with a pH of 6.5-7.2. They like light but cannot tolerate direct sunlight. They need shade in summer. The daytime temperature is generally 20-30 degrees, and the nighttime temperature is 14-17 degrees for best growth.

How to grow aloe vera flowers

Aloe flowers are afraid of cold, and the most suitable growth temperature is 20-30 degrees Celsius, and the night temperature is 14-17 degrees. In winter, you must take warming measures. Aloe needs sufficient sunlight to grow well, but if the light is very strong in summer, you need to provide shade.

Watering aloe vera flowers

The frequency and amount of watering for aloe flowers are different in different seasons. In spring and autumn, water them every 5-7 days. Water them thoroughly each time and then wet them when the soil is dry. In summer, when the temperature is higher, water them every 2-3 days. In winter, when the temperature is lower, water them once every half a month to keep the soil slightly dry.

Fertilizing Aloe Vera Flowers

When planting aloe flowers, base fertilizer can be applied. Organic fertilizers such as bean cake and chicken manure are more suitable. Fertilizer can be applied every half a month during the growth period, but do not apply fertilizer from November to March. This is the dormant period and fertilizer damage will occur if fertilizer is applied.

Aloe Vera Flower Disease and Pest Control

Aloe flowers often suffer from anthracnose, brown spot, leaf blight, white rot and bacterial diseases. The diseased plants need to be cut off and sprayed with thiophanate-methyl, ridomycin, and antibiotics such as streptomycin sulfate, agricultural streptomycin, kasugamycin, and jinggangmycin to control the spread of bacteria.

How to grow aloe vera flowers at home

It is best to choose soil with good drainage, good water retention, good air permeability and strong fertilizer storage capacity for growing aloe flowers. Generally, humus, garden soil and river sand can be mixed in a ratio of 2:2:1 to make nutrient soil for planting. Clay pots are the best choice for flower pots.

Aloe flower care precautions

Aloe vera flowers need to be repotted every 2-3 years, preferably in spring. When repotting, remove the rotten roots, remove the soil, prepare a slightly larger pot, and then replant it in loose, fertile soil.
