1. Temperature

For the four-season plum to survive the winter, ensuring the right temperature can be said to be the most important step. It is relatively afraid of cold, and being frozen will harm its future growth. The temperature for wintering should be above ten degrees, especially at night in winter, be sure to keep it warm and don't leave it outdoors. If the temperature cannot be guaranteed, appropriate measures to keep warm must be taken. For example, the plants can be covered with plastic film, or they can be placed in a transparent box.

2. Pruning

During the winter, it may go dormant. Therefore, it is best to prune once before entering winter. The main task is to cut off some branches, leaving only about one-third of the strongest branches. As for those old, diseased, insect-infested, and dry branches, do not leave them behind, cut them off. Doing so will help it survive the winter safely. Moreover, the growth will be better in the early spring of next year.

3. Light

In winter, be sure to provide sufficient light to help it survive the winter. Especially on sunny days, try to get as much sunlight as possible. Place it in a sunny place indoors, such as a windowsill or balcony.

4. Ventilation

5. Fertilizer

It can be used appropriately, but not in excessive amounts. Phosphorus fertilizer and potassium fertilizer can be used. Water appropriately after applying.
