How to grow Lithops in summer

1. Watering

For Lithops, watering in summer is very important. It cannot be without watering, but it cannot be too much either. However, depending on the substrate, the watering method is also different, generally divided into the following three situations:

1. Pure stone: If you use pure stone as the substrate, its drainage will be particularly good, so you can water it more often. On sunny days, you can water once a day. However, do not continue watering if the temperature is above 35 degrees. However, the above situation only applies to old pots and excludes new pots.

2. Pure peat: If peat soil is used as the substrate, the watering interval will be different. You can't water it every day, once every three to five days will be enough, and you should also choose a sunny day to water it.

3. Akadama soil plus peat soil: In this case, the watering interval can be longer, two or three times a month will be enough.

2. Temperature

Avoid too high temperatures in summer, otherwise it will affect its health. Specifically, it should not be higher than 35 degrees.

3. Light

In summer, light is also essential. However, too strong light should be avoided in summer. Lithops prefer continuous, even light. If you are indoors, you can place it next to a window without any shade.

4. Fertilizer

Applying appropriate amount of fertilizer in summer is beneficial to its growth. But you don't need to do it too much, once every half a month is enough. Be careful not to get the fertilizer on the leaves or flowers, as this will corrode them.
