How to fertilize Clivia

How to fertilize Clivia

1. Fertilization in four seasons

1. Spring: Clivia grows very vigorously and rapidly in spring and requires more nutrients. It is the best time to fertilize. Fertilizer should be applied every ten days or so, mainly nitrogen fertilizer.

2. Summer: Clivia is very afraid of heat. If the temperature in summer is higher than 25 degrees, do not apply fertilizer. If it is lower than 25 degrees, you can apply fertilizer, about once every 20 days with a thin liquid fertilizer.

3. Autumn: In autumn, Clivia has a strong desire to grow. Once every half a month, you can apply some fermented rice water or pond water.

4. Winter: Clivia is afraid of cold, and the temperature is low in winter, so more fertilizer should be applied, liquid fertilizer once every ten days.

2. Precautions

After fertilizing the Clivia, be careful not to water it immediately. You should wait 1 to 2 days before watering it. Then place it in the sun, but be careful not to use strong light. In addition, do not apply too much fertilizer each time, otherwise bacteria will be produced and affect its growth.
