What fertilizer is best for clematis

What fertilizer is best for clematis

1. What kind of fertilizer is best for it?

It is usually best to use fertilizer specially made for flowers, which contains the essential nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, as well as many other elements. This fertilizer is scientifically made according to the flower's demand for fertilizer, so it is very suitable for its use.

2. Fertilization Methods

1. Fertilization time

It grows very fast and has many flowers and likes fertilizer. When it is just planted, no fertilizer is needed in the first year, but normal fertilizer can be applied in the second year. Usually, fertilizer is applied four times a year. The first time is after the Spring Festival, when its leaf buds begin to grow, and more nitrogen fertilizer should be applied to make it grow quickly; the second time is after the last flowering, and fertilizer can be applied in combination with pruning; the third time is at the beginning of autumn; and the fourth time is after the leaves have withered. The next three fertilizations were mainly composed of decomposed organic fertilizers.

2. Amount of fertilizer

Pay attention to the dosage when applying fertilizer. In spring, apply 50g of nitrogen fertilizer to each plant. If the plant is larger, you can increase the amount appropriately. When applying fertilizer, apply it 30 to 40 cm away from the roots. The amount of organic fertilizer in other seasons is about 250g per plant. When applying fertilizer, you can apply it in holes, or you can make a small semicircular ditch next to the roots and then circulate the fertilizer from south to north. The fertilization position should be 35 cm away from the roots so as not to burn its roots, and then water it according to the fertilization situation.
