What kind of succulents are suitable for hydroponics?

There are many types of succulents, but not all of them are suitable for hydroponics!

1. Liliaceae

Aloe and Jade Dew in the Liliaceae family are most suitable for hydroponics. Especially in summer, jade plants will turn black and shrunken when exposed to the sun. At this time, hydroponics can restore the beauty of jade plants that have turned into raisins!

2. Crassulaceae

Most of the succulents in the Crassulaceae family can be grown in hydroponics. The more common ones include Jade Butterfly, Black Master, Black Prince, Special Jade Lotus, Phoenix, etc.

3. Agavaceae

Hydroponics of Tiger tail orchid in the Agavaceae family is the most common, and I believe many flower lovers have also tried hydroponics of Tiger tail orchid.

How to hydroponically grow succulents?

It is relatively simple to grow succulent plants hydroponically. All you need is a succulent plant, a transparent hydroponic bottle and an appropriate amount of clean water. Next, follow Huahua to do it in detail~

1. Prepare hydroponic materials: glass bottles (or any transparent containers for water), succulents, rooting powder, carbendazim, nutrient solution, and scissors.

2. In addition to being good for summer, hydroponics is also ornamental. If succulents are kept in the soil for a long time, the roots will turn yellow and affect their appearance, so you can cut off some or all of them appropriately.

3. Mix carbendazim with water in proportion, soak the trimmed succulents for about 30 seconds, and then place in a cool and ventilated place to dry.

4. Add a few drops of nutrient solution into the hydroponic bottle. Not too much is needed because the water of hydroponic succulents needs to be changed in the first few days.

5. Place the succulents in the hydroponic bottle, with the roots about 0.5 cm away from the water surface, otherwise they will easily rot.

6. In about 7 days, the hydroponic succulents will take root!

How to care for hydroponic succulents?

1. Ensure ventilation

Hydroponic succulents need to be placed in a well-ventilated environment to prevent root rot.

2. Apply nutrient solution regularly

The nutrient content in the water is very low. In order for the succulents to grow healthily, nutrient solution needs to be applied every half a month.

3. Maintenance of astigmatism environment

The root system of hydroponic succulents is relatively weak. If placed in a strong light environment, they will recover slowly after being sunburned.
