What to do if the leaves of white pine wilt

Reasons why the leaves of white pine wilt

Watering not thorough enough

This is a problem that many flower lovers have. It seems that they are watering and exposing the plants to the sun every day, but it has no effect. Instead, it affects the growth of the white-flowered pine.

We often say that we should water the flowers thoroughly, but have we really watered them thoroughly? Between each watering, the soil surface should be moist, and water should flow out from the bottom of the container, then stop. This does not mean that the plant has been watered thoroughly. If this continues for a long time, the soil around the roots will become compacted, affecting the growth of the roots and causing the leaves to wilt.

Temperature is too high

White-flowered pine prefers a cool environment, and the most suitable growth temperature is 15~25℃. The high temperature in summer will slow its growth and cause its leaves to wilt, which is a sign of the plant adapting to the environment.

In addition to summer, the leaves of white pine that is maintained indoors may also wilt. If the indoor environment is stuffy, the temperature is high and the humidity is high, and the ventilation is poor, the leaves of the white pine will inevitably wilt. A very vivid metaphor is that you should drink water when you go to the sauna, because water evaporates quickly and the human body needs to replenish water in time, and the time in the sauna room cannot exceed 1 hour. The white-flowered pine is in a greenhouse, and its water evaporates without being replenished, so it is inevitable that its leaves will wilt!

Watering Correctly

The white-flowered pine bonsai has a certain degree of drought resistance, and generally no problems will occur unless it is really too extreme.

As for the watering method, if you are not sure whether the plant has been watered thoroughly, you can use the immersion method to water the plant. Put the small pot into the water, with the water level covering 1/3 of the pot, and take it out after 5 minutes. (The soaking pot cannot be used for a long time. Once a month is fine. Frequent use can easily lead to soil salinization.)

For flower pots without holes, you can use small utensils such as spoons to water slowly. It is best not to let water accumulate on the leaves, and also to prevent water from accumulating in the pot for a long time.

Timely ventilation

In the high temperatures of summer, pay attention to ventilation and shade to avoid exposure to the sun. In other seasons, give it plenty of sunlight. Except for cold waves, cooling, and rainy weather, try to keep it outdoors to prevent it from being suffocated!
