How to raise blue pig ears

How to raise blue pig ears

1. Breeding environment

1. Soil: It is best to use loose, breathable and well-drained soil for growing blue pig ears.

2. Light: It likes sunlight, so you need to give it sufficient light when caring for it. If the light is too weak, it will cause the plant to grow too tall. The temperature is generally high and the sunlight is strong in summer, so appropriate shade should be provided.

3. Temperature: The night temperature should be kept at around 14°C. It can withstand high temperatures but not cold temperatures. The temperature in winter should not be lower than 12℃.

4. Watering: Blue Pig Ears like a humid growing environment. They should be watered in time during the growth period to ensure sufficient water. However, the amount of watering should not be too much, and water accumulation should not occur. Don't water during the hot midday hours in summer.

2. Breeding Methods

Seed propagation: Sowing should be done in spring in northern areas and throughout the year in southern areas. The soil should be disinfected before sowing to prevent infection by diseases. Its seeds are very small, so just sow them in the potting soil and cover them with a layer of film. It will germinate in about 4-7 days. During the seedling period, ensure sufficient ventilation and light.

3. Common pests and diseases

Blue pig ears do not often suffer from diseases and pests. If the growing environment is not suitable for the pit, wilt, powdery mildew, red spiders or aphids may occur. The pesticide should be sprayed in time, and drainage and ventilation should be strengthened.
