What should I do if the leaves of pennywort are rotten?

If the pennywort is not properly maintained, the leaves will turn yellow and wither, and the whole plant will wilt and rot. This is usually caused by three reasons:

1. Watering halfway: If you only water halfway, the root system will not absorb enough water, which will cause yellow and rotten leaves, small leaves and no luster.

Solution: When watering, follow the principle of watering thoroughly when the soil is dry, and continue watering until water seeps out from the bottom of the pot.

2. Lack of ventilation and air permeability: Green leafy plants like pennywort prefer an environment with good ventilation and air permeability. If the leaves are too dense, the soil is not breathable, or there is too much water and the roots rot, the leaves will also turn yellow and rot.

Solution: When growing pennywort indoors, it is best to place it on a windowsill in bright light, open the windows frequently for ventilation, and trim overgrown branches and leaves in a timely manner.

3. Insufficient nutrients: The leaves of hydroponic pennywort turn yellow and rot, which is generally caused by insufficient nutrients in the water. When it is maintained in half soil and half water, it reproduces too fast, and the stems and vines fill the pot, which will cause the oxygen content in the pot to be too low, causing the plant to wilt and the leaves to rot.

Solution: When growing pennywort in water, you must change the water frequently and clean up some old plants appropriately; it grows faster when grown in half soil and half culture, so once the pot is full, you must immediately change to a larger pot.

What to do if water lily leaves rot?

Water lilies like a warm, humid and sunny environment. Generally, leaf rot is caused by three reasons.

Solution

1. Increase water supply: Deepen the water level appropriately in summer, and gradually increase the water level as the plant grows; change the water every 3 to 5 days. Water lilies like higher air humidity, so you should often spray water around the plants.

2. Ensure sufficient light: Water lilies like light. Water lilies grown in pots and tanks must be placed in a location with sufficient light to allow them to receive full light.

3. Disease prevention and control: Water lilies are easily infected with black spot disease and brown spot disease in summer. Yellow-brown spots will appear on the leaves and gradually expand, causing the leaves to turn black and rot.

When infection is discovered, the infected stems and leaves should be cut off in time. In severe cases, 600-800 times diluted 75% Benomyl can be sprayed for prevention and control.

What should I do if the leaves of lucky bamboo rot?

Lucky bamboo likes shade and moisture, and is resistant to waterlogging and fertilizer. If you do not pay attention to light, water and fertilizer when caring for it in summer, it will easily cause the leaves to turn yellow and rot, especially for newly purchased lucky bamboo.

1. Too strong light: Lucky bamboo tolerates partial shade. Too strong light or exposure to the sun can cause the leaves to turn yellow and wither.

Solution: Cut off the dead and yellow leaves, place it in a place with bright scattered light when growing indoors, and provide shade when growing outdoors.

2. Insufficient water: Lucky bamboo likes water and is resistant to waterlogging. Insufficient water will cause the leaves to dry out and turn yellow. If the water of hydroponic lucky bamboo is not changed for a long time, the leaves will also cause rot.

Solution: Water once in the morning and evening every day in summer to keep the soil moist, spray water and mist on the leaves frequently, and maintain a high air humidity. The water of hydroponic lucky bamboo needs to be changed every 7 to 10 days.

3. Poor air permeability: If the pot and soil are not changed for a long time, the soil will become compacted, which will cause poor root breathing and root rot, causing the leaves to rot quickly.

Solution: Cut off rotten and dead leaves, loosen the soil in the pot regularly, and apply a little decomposed organic fertilizer if the soil is not fertile enough.

What to do if the leaves of white calla rot?

Anthurium prefers a semi-shady environment with high temperature and humidity. If it is not properly maintained in the summer, the leaf tips are most likely to turn black and slowly rot, either because of too much water or excessive fat.

1. Too much water will cause root waterlogging: Anthurium likes water, but frequent watering will cause water accumulation in the pot, root rot, and thus leaf rot.

Solution: When the roots are soaked by water, remove the plant from the pot, cut off the rotten roots, disinfect and dry it, and then put it back in the pot.

2. Root burn due to excessive fertilizer: Anthurium should avoid concentrated fertilizers and raw fertilizers. If it wilts just after applying fertilizer, it means that the fertilizer is too concentrated and too much. In severe cases, it will burn the root system and directly cause the whole plant to rot.

Solution: Water more after it becomes fat and place it in a cool place to grow slowly; in serious cases, dig out the entire white calla lily immediately and change the pot and soil. In summer, white calla lilies only need to be applied with a thin layer of liquid fertilizer once a month.

What should I do if the leaves of green radish are rotten?

Pothos is a relatively easy-to-grow, water-loving, shade-tolerant plant. Leaf rot is usually caused by poor ventilation or disease.

1. Poor ventilation: In summer, many flower lovers like to spray water on the leaves of green radish. If the indoor ventilation is not good and the air permeability is poor, the water on the leaves cannot evaporate in time, which will cause leaf rot!

Solution: Cut off rotten and yellow leaves, open windows for ventilation, and trim dense branches and leaves in time.

2. Infection and disease: Chlorophytum cochinchinensis is easily infected with anthracnose. Reddish-brown or dark-brown spots first appear in the middle of the leaves and gradually expand, causing the leaves to turn black and fall off.

Solution: First cut off the diseased leaves, then spray a 500~1000 times diluted solution of carbendazim or thiophanate-methyl on the diseased area. Spray once every 1~2 days, and improvement will be seen after 3~4 times.
