Common diseases and prevention methods of centipede breeding

Centipede is a common Chinese medicinal material with the effects of dispelling wind, stopping spasms, and detoxifying. It is often used to treat symptoms such as convulsions, convulsions, and spasms in children. In recent years, the centipede breeding industry has gradually developed. Some diseases are often encountered in the process of centipede breeding. Here we will talk about the common diseases and prevention and control methods of centipede breeding.

1. Centipede green muscardine disease

1. From mid-June to the end of August, the temperature is high due to climate change. The humidity was also high, causing the centipede to be infected with green muscardine and contract this disease. Infected centipedes initially develop small black spots on the skin of their joints, which makes their body surface dull. Eventually, they refuse to eat, become emaciated and die.

2. Treatment method: Grind 0.6 grams of motherwort, 0.25 grams of oxytetracycline, and 0.25 grams of chloramphenicol into powder, mix with 400 grams of feed , and feed it to the sick centipedes until they recover.

2. Centipede gastroenteritis

1. Don’t think that gastroenteritis is a disease that only humans get. Many animals are susceptible to gastroenteritis, including centipedes. Centipedes often get this disease during the rainy and cold period after autumn. In the early stage of the disease, the centipede's head turns purple-red, with its venomous stings fully open. It will not eat or eat very little, and will die 5 to 7 days after the onset of the disease.

2. Treatment method: Grind 0.5 grams of sulfa tablets into powder and mix it with 300 grams of feed. Also, mix 0.25 grams of chloramphenicol with 300 grams of feed and feed them every other day.

3. Centipede Shelling Disease

1. Because the centipede's habitat is too humid, fungi parasitize in the body. Initially, the baby will be restless and crawl back and forth. In the later stages, the patient will show weakness, slow movements, and eventually die from not eating or drinking.

2. Treatment method: 0.25 grams of oxytetracycline, 0.6 grams of motherwort, and 1 gram of calcium tablets, grind them into fine powder and mix them with 400 grams of feed. Feed continuously for 10 days to recover.

4. Centipede Black Spot Disease

1. Centipede black spot disease is the most common major disease in artificially cultivated centipedes. Especially in summer, artificial breeding ponds are prone to "black spot disease" caused by mold, which often causes the death of a large number of young centipedes born that year. Sometimes adult centipedes will also die from infection with this fungal disease. After years of investigation, it is rare to find wild centipedes suffering from this disease. Therefore, it can be considered that "black spot" is a serious disease under breeding conditions.

2. If you find a sick centipede, isolate the feed immediately. You can grind 0.25 grams of erythromycin or chloramphenicol tablets into powder and add 600 ml of water to force it to drink the medicine twice a day for 3 to 4 days, or grind erythromycin or chloramphenicol into powder and spray it on bricks and tiles. At the same time, pay attention to hygiene and water quality.

3. In addition to taking the above preventive measures, you can also mix fungal treatment drugs with food and feed it to sick centipedes. It can play a therapeutic role.

4. Drugs for black spot disease include emulsifiers such as streptomycin, amphotericin, actinomycin, and cinamycin. Ultraviolet lighting can also be used for prevention or auxiliary treatment in the pool (outside the nest) to kill pathogenic molds and prevent and treat diseases.

5. You can use 0.6 grams of motherwort, 0.25 grams of chloramphenicol, and 0.25 grams of oxytetracycline, grind them together and mix them with feed insects for 7 days for prevention and treatment. For severe cases, you can feed them separately. You can also choose emulsifiers such as streptomycin, amphotericin, actinomycin, and cinamicin for prevention and treatment respectively.
