How to breed zebra evergreen

1. Division propagation

When using this method for reproduction, we must first determine the time, which is generally from February to March. At this time, we often change the pot, so we can combine the repotting with reproduction.

First, you need to separate the clumped plants into several plants with roots, and then you can plant them separately. Of course, division can also be carried out in other seasons, and the divided plants can be divided again after 3 years. After the plant is planted, give it some water, but not too much. This completes the division propagation.

2. Seed propagation

1. Sowing method

In addition to the above propagation methods, we can also use the sowing method. Perhaps few people know that this method can also be used. In fact, this method has a very high survival rate.

The specific time is generally from March to April. We plant the selected seeds in pots filled with culture soil, then water them and place them in a relatively cool place, and keep the soil moist. But it can't be too wet, otherwise it will have the opposite effect. Then control the temperature between 25 and 30 degrees. After 25 days, the seeds will germinate.

2. Maintenance after sowing

Don’t think that you don’t need to take care of the seeds after they germinate. On the contrary, you need to take more careful care of them at this time. When the small buds grow into seedlings and reach the growth period, we must ensure that there is sufficient water.

For example, in midsummer, you should spray a little water on its leaves every morning and evening to maintain humidity and proper cooling. When winter comes, its growth will begin to slow down and the amount of water needed will not be much, so we have to control watering at this time and not let the soil in the pot be too moist.

In addition, the maintenance methods vary from region to region. If you are in the southern region, it is best to place it in a cool place in summer. Then from May to October, which is the period of vigorous growth of its stems and leaves, it needs more nutrients, so it needs to be fertilized once every half a month.
