How to grow grass jade dew in winter

How to grow grass jade dew in winter

The habit of this plant

First of all, it has relatively high requirements for sunlight. It likes to live in bright places and not too much shade, especially in winter. But it should also be noted that it cannot be exposed to direct sunlight, otherwise its leaves will turn from emerald green to gray, and it will naturally not be as beautiful as before. There is also the temperature. It is necessary to take appropriate insulation measures in winter. Another thing is water. The demand for it in winter is not very high, so just give it an appropriate amount.

Specific methods

Sunlight: We can place it in a brighter place in the house where it can receive diffuse light, so that it can receive as much warm sunlight as possible. Considering that the sunlight in winter is not particularly strong, you can let it enjoy the sunlight at other times except for the direct sunlight at noon.

Temperature: The most suitable temperature is of course around ten degrees Celsius. In order to ensure the temperature, we certainly cannot throw it outdoors, but must keep it indoors and take good care of it. If it is not convenient to maintain it indoors, we also need to take some other methods, such as covering it with a plastic cover, which can keep it warm and moisturized. When the sun shines down during the day and the temperature rises, the leaves will appear particularly full and look very beautiful through the plastic cover.

Water: You don’t need to give it too much water, just a little bit of water once a month is enough. Keep the soil in the pot slightly moist. It’s okay if it’s a little dry, as long as it’s not too dry. In addition, we can also spray into the air to replenish water.

Fertilizer: Generally speaking, its growth will be slower in winter, and it may even stagnate, so no fertilizer is needed.
