Soybean is a type of soybean and an important economic crop that can be used as both grain, oil and feed, and has good planting prospects. So what are the soybean cultivation techniques and timing? Let’s learn more about it below. Soybean cultivation time The planting time of soybeans varies depending on geographical location and climatic conditions, and can generally be divided into three types: spring sowing, summer sowing and autumn sowing. Spring sowing is suitable for the Northeast, generally from late April to mid-May; summer sowing is mainly suitable for the Huanghuaihai region, and it is recommended to sow in mid-to-late June; and autumn sowing is mainly distributed in some places south of the Yangtze River, with planting time around mid-to-late August and harvesting in November. Soybean cultivation technology 1. Land preparation and fertilization Choose a site with well-drained, deep soil for planting. Land preparation should be based on deep plowing, with a plowing depth of about 20-30cm to increase soil permeability. It is recommended to use farmyard manure and compound fertilizer , and adjust the amount of fertilizer according to soil fertility. 2. Seed treatment Before sowing, the seeds should be moistened and mixed with imidacloprid and fludioxonil to prevent the occurrence of diseases and pests in the seedling stage. The moisture content of the seeds should be kept at around 15% to increase the germination rate of the seeds. 3. Sowing method Double-row flat sowing can be carried out mechanically. The spacing between two rows is about 13 cm for small rows and about 45 cm for large rows. The sowing depth is generally 3-5 cm. 4. Post-sowing management (1) Plant seedlings in time to prevent "lumpy seedlings" and "crowded seedlings". (2) Generally, no fertilizer or watering is required during the seedling stage, and the seedlings should be kept dormant to prevent them from falling over. In special drought years or when base fertilizer is insufficient or there are symptoms of fertilizer deficiency, watering and topdressing should be carried out in time. (3) Carry out inter-cultivation and weeding in a timely manner. (4) Control underground pests such as cutworms, white grubs , wireworms, and seedling pests such as aphids, red spiders, cotton bollworms, bridge-building insects, and cabbage loopers. 5. Harvest at the right time When the branches of soybean stems begin to turn yellow, more than half of the leaves on the plant turn yellow and fall off, the surface color of the pods turns yellow-brown, and the pods make crisp sounds when shaken, this is the best time to harvest the soybeans. After harvesting, proper drying and storage should be carried out to maintain the quality of soybeans. The above is an introduction to soybean cultivation technology and time. Of course, in addition to the above method points, it is also very important to choose high-quality and high-yield soybean varieties for planting according to the climatic conditions of different regions.
