How to plant stem apricot seeds

How to plant stem apricot seeds

1. Sowing time

The ideal temperature is 15 to 30 degrees. In order to avoid the seedlings being suffocated in the cotyledons under high temperature conditions, sowing should be carried out in autumn when the weather is relatively cool. If you are unsure about the time, choose the one with a relatively lower temperature. Whether or not the seeds can germinate is affected by many factors, but the most fundamental one is whether the seeds themselves are healthy. The fresher the seeds, the greater the probability of germination. The seeds of this plant can be grown within three years.

2. Sowing Method

1. The substrate used for sowing should be loose and have good moisturizing effect. In addition to purchasing special soil, you can also mix nutrient soil, sand, wood ash, coal ash and other materials in proportion to make a culture substrate.

2. When choosing a container, you should choose a tile flower pot with good air permeability, which is more breathable and the soil in the pot is easy to dry. Pour the above-mentioned culture medium into a clay pot until the thickness reaches about 10 cm.

3. Before sowing, sprinkle a thin layer of sand on the culture medium. It is best to use sieved fine sand. Use a watering can to water the sand, and then sprinkle the seeds evenly on the sand. You can also mix the seeds and fine sand evenly before sowing.

4. There is no need to cover the seeds with soil after sowing. You can plant them tightly in the soil to avoid seeds not germinating.

3. Post-maintenance

1. A few days after planting, the seeds germinate. At this time, the seedlings are still relatively fragile. The soil and air should not be too humid to prevent root rot. The water supply method is also quite strict, do not use sprinkler irrigation. You can find a larger container, fill it with water, and put the flower pot in it. The water will enter the potting soil through the drain port, slowly soaking all the soil and achieving the purpose of watering.

2. Most of these succulents like light, but cannot tolerate exposure to the sun. Pay attention to shade in the summer and place them near the window indoors. In winter, you should make sure to keep it exposed to sunlight and moist, but not too much water.
