Taboos of growing magnolia in winter

Taboos of growing magnolia in winter

1. Don’t set the temperature too high

The right temperature is also very important for magnolia to survive the winter safely. After autumn, you should start moving it into the room in time and not leave it outside. The temperature in the room is generally better between 5 and 10 degrees. In winter, if the temperature in the room is too high due to some other reasons, you must take certain measures to cool the room appropriately. Otherwise, if the temperature is too high, it will affect its growth and it will be very difficult for it to survive the winter.

2. Don’t let the air be too dry

The area around the magnolia cannot be too dry, there must be a certain degree of humidity improvement. Generally, we can use a spray to spray into the sky, which can greatly increase its humidity. We should also open the windows appropriately when the weather is better to allow it to be well ventilated. It is generally more appropriate to open the windows between 10 am and 2 pm. But you must remember not to let it blow cold wind, otherwise it will have the opposite effect.

3. Don’t use too little light

In winter, the lighting time is generally shorter, but in order to allow the magnolia to fully enjoy the sunshine, we can place it in a sunny place, so that it can enjoy more sunshine, grow better, and spend the winter safely, so the light must not be too little.

4. Don’t use too much fertilizer or water

The temperature in winter is generally relatively low, and the evaporation of plants will also be reduced, so the amount of water needed at this time is also relatively small. Be sure to water it sparingly, and do not water it if it is not dry. In addition, you cannot add fertilizer to it, because at this time its requirements for fertilizer are also very high. We must control water and fertilizer reasonably so that our magnolia can safely pass the winter and bloom more beautiful flowers in the next year.
