How to propagate zebra aloe, if you do it now, it will survive!

Propagation by division

Division can be done at any time, but if it is troublesome, you can do it at the same time as repotting the plant. The time for repotting is generally from April to May every year, at which time the young plants can be directly separated from the original plants. Zebra aloe grows relatively fast and has a very strong reproductive capacity. When it is 10 cm high, it will produce many side buds, which are most suitable for reproduction.

When preparing to transplant the side buds, you need to observe whether these side buds have grown their own roots. If they have, then you need to clean up all the original potting soil on the roots before planting. If there are no new roots, it is not recommended to plant them. After the side buds are separated from the mother plant, they should be exposed to the sun to allow their wounds to become dry to prevent bacterial invasion. The flowerpot should not be too large, and the roots should not be buried too deep when planting. As long as they are buried shallowly and can be fixed, they will survive in about 7 to 10 days.

Tips

There are actually many ways to propagate zebra aloe. However, the most commonly used method is division, because division can be carried out at any time, and the method is simple and easy to survive. So we basically choose this method, and friends with patience can try other methods.
