How to water the fairy cup

How to water the fairy cup

The need for water

Generally speaking, they prefer a drier environment and are afraid of living in wet soil for a long time. So, in general, we should not water too much. Moreover, this plant is very hardy and drought tolerant and can tolerate long periods of time without watering.

Specific treatment methods

If the plant is still a small seedling, we can water it more frequently, perhaps once a week or so.

Once it grows strong enough, you can do it once every half a month. Of course, this is not absolute. The amount and frequency of watering must also take into account the air humidity conditions in the area. If the air in the planting area is very humid, then once a month is fine.

As summer slowly approaches, the amount and frequency of watering should be gradually reduced, or even stopped altogether. Because the plants will enter dormancy at this time, if the high temperature is combined with a lot of water, it may cause the roots of the plants to rot. If you are really worried about not watering at all, just water it once or twice throughout the summer, but not too much.

Whether to water in winter depends on the temperature. If the temperature is above zero degrees, you can water it normally; however, if the temperature is lower than this, do not water it.

Precautions

Never get water on their leaves. Whether you are watering or spraying, be careful not to splash water on the leaves, otherwise the water droplets will cause the leaves to rot.

We should pay attention and try to wait until the soil in the pot is dry enough before watering.

If you want to water in summer, you need to do it in the evening.
