How to water hollyhock

How to water hollyhock

Watering method

Plants prefer dry or wet.

It can be said that it does not like to grow in an overly humid environment, that is, it hates waterlogging the most. However, this does not mean that you can ignore watering. The growth and development of most plants still depend on water. Therefore, for this plant, watering must be moderate.

How to deal with specific periods

Let’s talk about spring first. This is the time when all things naturally come back to life, so relatively speaking, more water is needed. You can water the plants more appropriately at this time. You can control whether to water and how much to water by observing the dryness and wetness of the soil in the clay pot. When the soil in the pot is dry, you must add water in time.

Also, when the plants are in the flowering period, they also need a lot of water, so you must pay special attention to the factor of watering. If there is enough water, it will not only extend the flowering period, but also encourage the flowers to bloom more and better, and even bloom all the way to the top of the branches.

There is no need to talk about the autumn and winter seasons. Just control the water slowly as the temperature drops, and there is no need to water in severe cold weather.

Precautions

One thing we should pay attention to especially in summer is that morning and evening are more suitable for watering, but noon is not suitable. As for other seasons, as long as the temperature is not too high, there are generally no requirements.

Some places may be in the rainy season in summer, so you must not leave the plants outside when it rains heavily or rainstorms, because as we said before, they are afraid of waterlogging.

Another thing to note is that when watering, water thoroughly and don't just focus on the surface. There may be roots in deeper places.
