How to water in different seasons

Spring and Autumn

This plant grows relatively fast in these two seasons, so it needs sufficient water supply. Therefore, when the soil in the pot is completely dry or half dry, you should replenish water in time, and try to water it thoroughly.

summer

Because the temperature is too high, the soil should be kept in a semi-dry state (note that it is not completely dry). The number of waterings should also be gradually reduced as the temperature rises. During the hottest times, four or five times a month is enough. And don't water too much, that is, don't water it thoroughly.

winter

This is the best season to handle, and basically no watering is required. Even if you need to water, you should use very small amounts, otherwise you will be surprised to find that the plant begins to rot! Specifically, you should reduce watering when the temperature drops below five degrees Celsius in winter. If the temperature drops to minus three degrees Celsius, stop watering immediately.

Watering elements

Pay attention

For this kind of plant, you can adjust the frequency of watering at will. There is generally no problem if you water it only when you see the soil is very dry. We can clearly see from the picture that the leaves of the plant are relatively thick, so it stores more water and it is okay if we don’t water it for a while. As long as you don't ignore it for a long time, its leaves will not wilt.

When to water

The best time to hydrate in spring and winter is near midday when it is warmer. But in summer, you should choose the afternoon or evening. Huangli is particularly afraid of waterlogging, so it should never be left outside during the rainy season.
