The leaves of Chlorophytum comosum are getting thinner and thinner, what's going on?

The leaves of the green radish grow weaker

Main reason: lack of fertilizer

According to Huahua's experience, the leaves of the green radish usually become smaller, yellower, and weaker because of a lack of fertilizer!

Solution:

1. If you want the green radish to grow vigorously, fertilizer is essential. Huahua thinks that the best fertilizer is rice water.

2. Collect the water used to wash rice at home, put it in a plastic bottle, seal it, and expose it to the sun. It will be fermented in about a month.

3. Mix the fermented rice water with clean water in the ratio of 1:50, and water the green radish with it once every 5-7 days. Soon the leaves of the green radish will become bigger and bigger.

Other reasons: Improper watering

Another important reason why the leaves of green radish are getting smaller and smaller is improper watering.

Solution:

1. If you water the green radish too little, the water will not be enough to support its growth needs and it will naturally not grow large; if you water it too much, it will cause root rot and prevent the green radish from growing. Therefore, it is usually necessary to water it once every 3-5 days, and spray water on the leaves to ensure sufficient moisture.

2. In order to make the leaves of the green radish grow bigger and bigger, we can dilute and stir beer and water in a ratio of 1:50, and then wipe the leaves with a soft cloth to allow the stomata of the green radish leaves to absorb the fertilizer, so that it grows bigger and bigger!

The jasmine flowers are getting smaller and smaller

Main reason: lack of fertilizer

Now is the time when jasmine blooms in autumn, but some flower lovers reported that the jasmine in their homes either did not bloom or the flowers that bloomed were very small, or even fell off after a few days. Huahua thought this was due to lack of fertilizer.

Solution:

1. If you want jasmine to bloom more and larger flowers, it is best to apply more bone meal fertilizer rich in phosphorus.

2. Collect the leftover bones at home, boil them in clean water for more than 20 minutes to evaporate all the salt in the bones, then expose them to the sun for a while to crush all the bones.

3. You can mix the crushed bones into the soil and let the fertilizer of the bones be slowly absorbed by the jasmine. You can also put the bones in a bottle and ferment them slowly. When they are all decomposed, you can use them to water the jasmine!

Other reasons: Alkaline soil

Jasmine likes acidic soil. If the soil is alkaline, it will easily cause the jasmine flowers to become smaller or even not bloom.

Solution:

1. If you want to improve the alkaline soil problem of jasmine, you can pour some ferrous sulfate solution into the soil. Mix ferrous sulfate powder and clean water in a ratio of 1:2000, then use it to irrigate the roots of the jasmine. You will soon find that the jasmine flowers are getting bigger and bigger.

2. If you want jasmine to bloom more and larger flowers, there is another method, which is to spray 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution on the jasmine plant before it blooms, to encourage the jasmine to grow more flower buds and thus bloom more flowers.

The leaves of the spider plant are getting smaller and smaller

Main reason: lack of fertilizer

Other people's spider plants can grow to 2 fingers wide, but yours is becoming narrower and narrower, which is really painful. The main reason is the lack of fertilizer.

Solution:

1. If you want the leaves of the spider plant to grow wider, you have to water it with some soybean water.

2. Cook the moldy soybeans in a pot, take them out and put them in a plastic bottle. Then add some water to the bottle and seal it. Expose it to the sun. Open the bottle for air every 3-5 days. After about 1-2 months, the soybean water will be ready.

3. Mix soybean water and clean water in a ratio of 1:50, and use it to water the roots of the spider plant. Within half a month, the leaves of the spider plant will grow bigger and bigger!

Other reasons: Improper watering

Watering spider plants is an aspect that is difficult to control. Whether you water them too much or too little, the leaves will become smaller.

Solution:

1. The climate in autumn is relatively dry, so you only need to water the plant once every 4-7 days. Spray water on the leaves in the morning and evening to prevent the leaves from drying out due to lack of water.

2. If you water too much, you can place the flowerpot in a cool and ventilated place to allow excess water in the flowerpot to evaporate as soon as possible to avoid root rot. Over time, the leaves of the spider plant will grow larger and larger.

Clivia leaves grow thinner as they grow longer

Main reason: lack of fertilizer

Clivia is loved by many people because of its thick leaves and bright flowers, but some flower lovers have found that the leaves of the Clivia in their homes are getting smaller and smaller, and the flowers are also very small. Huahua thinks that this situation is most likely due to lack of fertilizer.

Solution:

1. If you want the leaves of Clivia to become thicker and its flowers to be larger and brighter, you have to give it enough fertilizer, especially flower fertilizers fermented from some oil crops, which Clivia likes very much.

2. Collect all the moldy peanuts, melon seeds, bean dregs, etc., put them in a container, then add water and seal it. Expose it to the sun for about 3-5 days, then open the lid to let in air. It will be ready in about 2 months.

3. After it is fully decomposed, mix liquid fertilizer and clean water in a ratio of 1:50. Then water the roots of the Clivia once every 7-10 days. After about 2-3 times, the leaves of the Clivia will grow bigger and bigger.

Other reasons: Overwatering

The roots of Clivia are fleshy and have good water storage capacity. If you water it too much, it will easily lead to root rot, which will cause the leaves to become smaller and smaller, and the flowers will also become smaller and smaller.

Solution:

1. If the Clivia is overwatered and the roots are not rotten, place the flowerpot in a cool and ventilated place to allow the excess water in the pot to evaporate.

2. If the roots of the Clivia have rotted, you have no choice but to change the pot.

(1) Before repotting the Clivia, stop watering it for one week to allow the soil and pot to separate. Then remove the plant from the pot and clean the soil off the roots.

(2) Cut off all old roots, weak roots, and diseased roots on the Clivia root system, leaving only healthy roots.

(3) Then soak the trimmed Clivia roots in the carbendazim solution for more than 20 minutes, then take them out and dry them.

(4) The soil for repotting must be loose and breathable. You can use a mixture of garden soil and river sand in a ratio of 5:2. You can also put some peanuts or melon seeds at the bottom of the pot as a slow-release fertilizer, and then directly plant the Clivia in the pot.

(5) After potting, water the plant thoroughly once, then place it in a cool and ventilated place to dry for 2-3 days before returning to normal maintenance. In this way, the Clivia that has been repotted and re-soiled will not be easily overwatered and cause root rot, which will also avoid the situation where the leaves of the Clivia become smaller and smaller.
