1. Sunburn

For succulents grown outdoors or on south-facing balconies or windowsills, moving them back and forth between the house and outdoors when the sun is strong is not a long-term solution. It is best to provide shade, which can be done with a small piece of shade net.

2. Suffocate to death

In summer, the respiration of succulent leaves weakens, and they mainly rely on the roots to breathe. If the soil you use is not breathable enough, it is likely to suffocate the plant!

3. Steaming to death

The summer heat is like a steamer for succulents. If you are not careful, they will be cooked. Not only that, improper watering can also steam the succulents to death.

Solution: Place it in a ventilated environment and pay attention to the time of watering

Balconies, windowsills, corridors and other ventilated places are the most suitable for growing succulents. It is hot everywhere in summer, but without ventilation, moisture cannot evaporate or be absorbed, and will be steamed in minutes.

Dormant succulents should be watered less in summer, but not without watering. Watering should also be done in the morning (before 9 o'clock) and evening (after 7 o'clock) when the temperature is relatively low. At other times, the temperature of the flowerpot is high, and the water poured into it becomes hot.

4. Death from thirst

Dormant succulents grow slowly, but they are still growing, so they need the necessary water. Moreover, the weather is hot and the evaporation is fast, so the leaves will wrinkle in a short time.

Solution: Water in small amounts and frequently

If your succulent's leaves wrinkle easily, it means it is not yet clearly dormant. If you find that its leaves are wrinkled, water it immediately. It is better to water it in the morning and evening. Water it a little each time, not too much.

5. Starvation

Succulents, like most green leafy plants, absorb carbon dioxide from the air to perform photosynthesis. In the high summer temperatures, the succulents move more and more slowly, become more and more "hungry", and eventually become weak.

7. Black Death
