Complete guide to caring for succulent white peony in summer!

How to keep it in summer?

Temperature and sunshine:

The most suitable temperature for white peony in summer is between 15 and 25 degrees. It should not be exposed to the scorching sun and should be properly shaded and ventilated. When the temperature reaches 35 degrees in summer, white peony will stop growing.

Watering and fertilizing:

Avoid water accumulation in summer. In summer, watering should follow the principle of "water thoroughly when dry". Many succulent lovers cannot bear to see the soil being too dry, so they water it from time to time. This is a wrong practice. White peony can even be watered once a month, and each time you water it, just make sure it is watered thoroughly. If the soil is too moist in summer, the white peony will easily rot. Do not apply too much fertilizer. It is sufficient to apply fertilizer once every 30 days or so. The fertilizer should mainly be thin phosphorus and potassium fertilizers.

Diseases – Black Rot:

A common disease of white peony is black rot, which occurs most frequently in summer. The roots of the plant slowly turn black and rot. It is usually caused in an environment with high temperature, high humidity and poor ventilation. In the early stage, the black rot areas can be removed, and fungicides such as chlorothalonil and carbendazim can be sprayed on the wounds. After drying naturally, they can be replanted in the soil.

Note:

When watering or when it rains, it is best not to let the leaves of the white peony get wet.
