1 Jasmine in water

Now is the peak flowering period of jasmine. Put a pot in the room and you can smell the fragrance everywhere. It smells so good! So, how to plant jasmine in water? Just read on!

Steps:

1. It is best to choose jasmine branches that have just bloomed for water planting. At this time, the division tissue of the branches is more active, and the nutrients are sufficient, so the roots will grow quickly.

2. Prune the branches of the jasmine, select the strongest part, cut off all the weaker leaves at the top and the aging leaves at the bottom, leaving only two nodes and two leaves.

3. Insert the trimmed branches into the foam, with the branches about 2 cm exposed from the foam. Then throw the soaked rice onto the water surface to allow the jasmine branches to take root in the water.

4. The weather is hot now, and it will probably take root in less than a month. During this period, if you find that the water quality is deteriorating, you must change the water in time.

5. Wait until the jasmine grows white roots, then you can transplant it into a pot. Dear flower lovers, isn’t it very simple? Then why don’t you try it now!

2. Water-inserted Kalanchoe

In order to make the Kalanchoe grow luxuriantly, we often pinch the tips of the Kalanchoe. Don’t throw away the branches you picked, you can grow a new pot of Kalanchoe by growing them in water!

Steps:

1. Prepare three terminal buds of the Kalanchoe after pinching.

2. Find a piece of cardboard and dig 3 holes on it to fix the branches of the Kalanchoe.

3. Fix the three picked terminal buds on the cardboard, then take a cup filled with water, insert the prepared Kalanchoe branches into the cup, and the ends of the branches should touch the water surface.

4. It will take about 2-3 weeks for the Kalanchoe branches to take root, and you can transplant them into pots once the root system is strong.

5. When transplanting, you can choose a loose and breathable soil. Because the roots of Kalanchoe are fleshy, they will easily rot if watered too much.

6. After potting the Kalanchoe, you can place it in a cool place for a few days to slowly grow the seedlings, and then move it to a well-lit place for maintenance.

3. Water mint

The most common flower in Huahua’s home in summer is mint. Besides its fragrant smell, it can also be used in cooking and making tea. Planting 100 pots is not too much!

Steps:

1. Be sure to choose sturdy mint branches for cuttings. Use scissors to cut a branch from the mint mother plant. The length should be about 10 cm and there should be 3 nodes on the branch.

2. Pick off all the leaves at the bottom of the cut mint branches, then place the branches in a hydroponic container, making sure the bottom of the branches are in contact with the water surface.

3. Place the mint grown in water in a bright place and change the water every 2-3 days. After a while, you will see the roots growing.

4. After the mint roots grow out, you can transplant it into a pot. Make sure the soil is loose and breathable. The survival rate of mint cuttings grown in this way is 100%!

4. Water-planted Christmas cactus

Christmas cactus has a fleshy stem. If it is planted in soil, it will easily cause the stem to rot, so it is best to use the water planting method to propagate it.

Steps:

1. Select healthy and pest-free Christmas cactus branches with a length of about 6-8cm, and place them in a cool and ventilated place to dry the wounds.

2. Place the Christmas cactus with dried wounds in a hydroponic bottle, with the water basically covering 1/3-1/4 of the branches. Do not soak all the branches in water.

3. After cuttings, it is best to place the Christmas cactus in a bright place and change the water about every 2-4 days. The temperature is high in summer, and bacteria are easily bred in the hydroponic bottles. Be sure to clean the inner wall when changing the water.

4. After the Christmas cactus takes root, you can choose to continue to care for it in a hydroponic bottle, or you can choose to transfer it to a flowerpot for care, and it will bloom in both cases.

5. Water-grown Chlorophytum

I believe many flower lovers know that spider plants can be planted in water. As long as the spider plants in your home grow small spider plants, you can directly cut them off and plant them in water.

Steps:

1. It is best if the cut spider plant has aerial roots so that it can take root quickly. If the grafted spider plant does not have aerial roots, crush the aspirin, dilute it 50 times, and add it to the hydroponic solution, which can also promote the rapid rooting of the spider plant.

2. When growing spider plants hydroponically, change the water immediately if you find the water becomes turbid, otherwise it will easily cause the grafted spider plants to rot.
