How to breed the imperial crownThe cultivation of the Imperial Crown is relatively difficult. Artificial propagation of the Imperial Crown can be done by sowing or grafting. Seed propagationCollect seeds when the Imperial Crown blooms, and sow them in pots indoors in May and June. The room temperature should be controlled at 22-24℃. They will germinate in about a week after sowing. After germination, don't be anxious as the plant grows slowly. GraftingIn June and July, use octagonal cypress or grass ball as the rootstock, and the scion is the bulb that is cut off from the plant. The operation should be quick. The success rate of Imperial Crown grafting is low. After grafting, you can spray some water around it to maintain a high air humidity and improve the survival rate. Please note that if the rootstock dies or is injured, or the sphere is too large to support and needs to be planted on the ground, the scion will not easily take root. Even if daily maintenance is very careful, it will take about two or three years for it to take root. Once management is negligent, the scion will rot and die due to lack of water or excessive water. Therefore, the editor here does not recommend flower lovers to use grafting for reproduction. |
