The half-dead flower was thrown into the water and it grew wildly!

1. Copper coin grass

Flower language: Money rolling in

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

The pennywort requires a lot of water. The pennywort grown in soil can easily wilt due to lack of water as shown in the picture above, which is so painful to look at. If you encounter this situation, start hydroponics immediately.

First, cut off all the wilted pennywort. Don’t be reluctant. After hydroponics, the pennywort will quickly grow new leaves.

Take the pennywort out of the flowerpot, then find a waterproof container, plant the pennywort in the new container, fill it with water, and the water level should cover the growth point of the pennywort.

If you see there is no water in the container, add water. Pennywort can grow very well in water.

2 White Palm

Flower language: smooth sailing

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

Anthurium likes a humid air environment. When the air is dry, the leaf tips are easy to dry out. Improper watering can also cause root rot. Hydroponic plants can provide it with sufficient humidity, so there is no need to worry about improper watering.

First, carefully remove the anthurium from the pot and remove the soil from the roots.

Use scissors to cut off the dry leaf edges and excessively long roots of the white calla lily.

Next, clean the roots of the anthurium with clean water.

Finally, place the calla lily in a hydroponic container, secure it with pebbles, and water it. The water level does not need to completely cover the roots. Exposing some of it to the air will help it grow better.

3. Fortune Tree

Flower language: Bringing in wealth and treasure

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

The roots of the money tree grown in soil are prone to rot. This is because the root system of the money tree is too underdeveloped. Therefore, flower lovers who don’t know how to grow it can also try growing it in water.

First, take the money tree out of the flowerpot, remove the soil, rinse it with clean water, cut off all the old roots with scissors, and then put it in the hydroponic bottle.

Note that when hydroponically cultivating the money tree, the swollen trunk must be above the water level, with the water level covering one-third to two-thirds of the root system, and it must be placed in an environment with diffuse light.

If you have hydroponic nutrient solution, you can add the nutrient solution once a month, and do not use it during high temperature seasons. If you don’t have it, you can grind the vitamin C into powder and dissolve it in water, which can also make the money tree grow better.

4. Asparagus fern

Flower language: purity, eternity

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

The leaves of asparagus fern are very tender and weak. When the air is dry, they easily turn yellow. It is also a very good choice for hydroponics.

Select a healthy asparagus fern, carefully remove the plant from the pot, remove the soil outside the roots, rinse it with clean water, and then use scissors to trim off the roots that are too long or rotten.

Afterwards, use a planting basket to fix the asparagus fern in the hydroponic container. If there is no planting basket, you can also use pebbles or expanded clay to fix it.

In the early stage of hydroponics of asparagus fern, change the water every two or three days. If root rot is found, trim it in time. When the new aquatic roots grow to two or three centimeters, you can add nutrient solution to promote better growth of asparagus fern.

In order to avoid root rot of asparagus fern, you can also add a little activated carbon into the hydroponic solution. Its good adsorption capacity can ensure the water quality is clean.

5. Pothos

Flower language: enthusiastic and cheerful

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

Green ivy is one of the most common indoor green plants. It can be grown in soil or in water. Many people have asked Huahua before whether it is better to grow green ivy in water or in soil. Huahua recommends everyone here that if whatever you raise dies, then you should grow it in water.

You can use branches to grow green radish in water. Go to your friend's house and pick a branch. Find the one with aerial roots. Bring it back and put it in a bottle. Add water. In the summer, when the temperature is high, it will take root in a few days.

6. Cactus

Flower language: Unwavering

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

Cactus is generally recognized as an easy plant to grow, but there are still many flower lovers who kill it. So Huahua wants to ask, why don’t you try growing cactus in water?

Things to note when growing cactus in water: the cactus ball must not get wet, otherwise it will rot. In addition, the roots should be submerged one-third of the way in water. If you find the bottle wall is dirty, clean it in time to avoid bacterial infection.

7. Chlorophytum

Flower language: wealth and good fortune

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

The small spider plants on the stems can be directly cut off and propagated, but you need to prepare the soil and the flower pots. After propagation, you also need to take care of them and keep them moisturized. I believe many flower lovers are tired of this. The easiest way is of course to grow it hydroponically.

When growing spider plants in water, it is best to choose small spider plants with aerial roots, so that they can take root quickly in water. In order to accelerate rooting, you can also dilute the rooting powder and then add it to the hydroponic solution, which can also promote rapid rooting of spider plants.

8. Schlumbergera

Flower language: Good luck

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

Not many people must have tried hydroponic Christmas cactus. It is a bit similar to hydroponic cactus. You only need to put a small amount of roots in the water, leaving some roots to breathe in the air.

Before hydroponics, clean the roots, cut off most of the roots, and then disinfect them with potassium permanganate. Then take them out, rinse and dry them, place them in a ventilated place to dry, and then they can be planted in the hydroponic solution.

Remember not to change the water too often. As long as the water is not dirty, you only need to add water normally.

The hydroponic Christmas cactus is clean and hygienic, but it needs to add hydroponic nutrient solution frequently, otherwise it is very likely that it will not bloom.

9. The Tree of Happiness

Flower language: happiness and contentment

Placement: balcony, windowsill, bookshelf

The lucky tree symbolizes happiness and family harmony, and many families will also maintain one. Common lucky trees come in two sizes, large and small. If you are growing them hydroponically, Huahua recommends that you choose a small lucky tree, which is easier to survive and easier to maintain than one grown in soil.

Take the lucky tree out of the pot, remove the soil from the roots, wash it several times to make sure it is clean, then soak it in a diluted carbendazim solution for a while to prevent root rot.

Then place the lucky tree in a hydroponic container and secure it with a planting basket, expanded clay, pebbles or medical stone. Change the water every two days until new roots grow, then you can extend the water change interval.
