How to cultivate multiple heads of Aizoaceae succulent plants

How to cultivate multiple heads of Aizoaceae succulent plants

Choose the right variety

Many Aizoaceae plants tend to grow in multiple heads easily, but their ornamental value may not be very good, so you don’t need to spend too much time on them. For us, the Aizoaceae succulents that we want to carefully cultivate should be varieties with unique colors and appearances.

It is relatively easy to divide the heads of coneflowers, but in fact, too many heads are not good. When the plant grows a lot of heads, it is necessary to divide the plant and cut the heads so that it can grow roots again. For the genus Leaf Flower, some will have multiple heads when sowing, but because they are all relatively large in size, there are not many heads.

Therefore, when choosing varieties, in order to make them branch better, it is generally recommended to choose varieties that grow slower, have fewer branches and are not easy to degenerate.

Extensive management

When cultivating bulls, you usually don't need to be too careful, and extensive management is enough. Pay attention to maintaining a certain level of soil fertility and replace the soil regularly, so there will not be a need for too much fertilizer. Generally, excessive fertility will damage the plant roots and cause poor growth.

In addition, it is necessary to maintain good lighting and ventilation, so that the plants will grow well and are less likely to be affected by diseases and pests.

Proper watering

In order to make succulent plants grow quickly, many people always water them indiscriminately. In fact, watering more does not necessarily make them grow well, and it may even have the opposite effect.

When watering these succulents, it is generally necessary to adopt an irregular watering method, according to the watering needs of the Aizoaceae succulents themselves. This is much better than blindly following a routine to water them.

Reasonable basin selection

When growing Aizoaceae, the flower pot should be selected according to the size of the plant. Choose a deeper flower pot. Even if the seedlings are divided into pots, they can be grown in a large pot. After the plant grows, change to a new pot with new soil. As the flower pots can be divided, the number of plants in the pots should be reduced by half. When the plants look a bit imposing, you can choose to plant them in a single pot.
