Impatiens flower maintenance

1. Flowering period

Since Impatiens can be sown from March to September, its flowering period is uncertain. But generally speaking, if it is sown in April, the flowering period will be around the end of June or July. If sown in March, the flowering period will be at the end of May. And so on.

2. Flower shape

The flowers are solitary or clustered in 2-3 in the leaf axils, without peduncle, white, pink or purple, single or double. It is shaped like a butterfly, and its flower colors include pink, scarlet, purple, white and yellow, sprinkled gold, etc., and it is good at changing. Some varieties can have petals of several colors on the same plant.

3. Maintenance during flowering period

During the flowering period in May, Impatiens needs to be topped, fertilized and prevented from waterlogging. During the flowering period from June to August, Impatiens needs to be controlled for diseases and insects. During the flowering period, the leaves at the base can be removed, and the early flowers and buds can also be removed to allow the plant to continue to expand and grow more flower buds.
