How to take care of the newly bought jade ornaments

1. How to deal with newly bought jade ornaments

If you have just bought a new jade ornamental plant, and it is a bare-root succulent purchased online, you need to trim off the completely shriveled fibrous roots, place the succulent plant in a cool and ventilated place for 2 days, and after the root wounds have dried up, prepare moist soil and plant it in a flowerpot, and place it in a cool and ventilated place to wait for it to acclimate.

2. How to take care of the newly bought jade pendant

1. Lighting

If the newly bought jade ornamental has just been planted, it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place to slowly grow, and then the light intensity should be gradually increased after a week. If the newly purchased jade ornamental has been planted, it can be moved directly to the south balcony with sufficient sunlight to bask in the sun, and provide appropriate sunshade in summer.

2. Watering

If you have just bought a new jade ornamental plant and have just planted it, do not water it within a week after planting it in moist soil. Water it again after a week. Waiting until the soil is completely dry before watering can prevent the roots of the succulents from rotting, avoid excessive growth, and make the leaves of the new jade plant compact and full.

3. Temperature

The most suitable growth temperature for new jade ornaments is 10-32℃. If the temperature is above 30℃ and below 5℃, water should be controlled appropriately. By keeping the temperature above 0℃ in winter, the succulents can safely overwinter. In addition, giving the new jade a large temperature difference and strong sunshine can make the succulents color quickly.

4. Reproduction

The success rate of leaf cuttings of new Jade Plant is extremely high, even reaching 100%. Break off the leaves of the new Jade Plant in one direction and place them flat on the surface of the soil in the original flowerpot. After about a week, the leaves of the succulent will sprout, and then take root and grow new small succulents.
