1. Feeding space

Yellow-eared sliders do most of their activities in water. But don't keep them in water all the time. If there is no sunbathing platform, they may die, so more attention should be paid.

3. Water depth matters

The water depth for yellow-eared turtles should be between 20-25 cm to ensure that they can swim freely in the water and avoid accidents. At the same time, water that is too shallow will harm the yellow-eared turtle, so the choice of water depth is very important.

4. Suitable temperature

The habitat of yellow-eared turtles should maintain suitable temperature and water quality, which is very important for promoting their growth and reproduction. The optimum growth temperature for yellow-eared sliders is 24-28℃.

5. Feeding management

When feeding yellow-eared turtles, breeders can feed them turtle food, small fish, shrimps, mealworms and other foods. Small fish and shrimps should be cut into small pieces before feeding. They can be fed with tweezers. The appropriate amount of food should be fed according to different seasons. The amount should be reduced appropriately when the temperature drops.
